You must complete a Permit Application, applications are available from the Clerks office daily from 8:30 a.m. We strongly encourage you to call the Construction Office to see if a permit is needed. These are usually items that represent ordinary maintenance:Įxamples are: painting and carpeting in residential structures, replacement of storm windows and doors of the same size openings, wall paper, replacement of kitchen cabinets, etc. Please see the Historic Preservation Commision webpage for details. NOTE: Most exterior improvements in the business districts require Historic Preservation Commission approval. Often, a zoning permit is also required to ensure compliance with the Zoning Ordinance.
